RiverHorse Farm

RiverHorse Farm is a family-owned horse boarding and training facility in North Salem, NY that offers experienced care by trained equine professionals in a traditional setting.

Owned and operated by equine veterinarian Matthew Eliott, DVM, RiverHorse Farm has three barns with stabling for 30 horses in spacious rubber-matted stalls and over 20 turnout paddocks on 50 acres. The owners take pride in having created a friendly and supportive environment where everyone from casual trail riders to passionate dressage, eventing, or hunter/jumper competitors can enjoy their horses and their sports to the fullest. Beginner through advanced-level training in show jumping, dressage and cross country is available by certified instructors.

Situated on rolling North Salem hills and fields only one hour from New York City, the facilities include a gorgeous state-of-the-art covered ring and two outdoor jumping and dressage arenas. The property also has direct access to the beautiful North Salem Bridle Trail System and the only Eric Bull-designed cross country course in North Salem. The farm, set in picturesque Westchester horse country, is within hacking distance from the Golden's Bridge Hounds hunt headquarters and a number of renowned show barns including Old Salem Farm, which holds a series of rated and unrated horse shows every year.

RiverHorse Farm regularly hosts clinics by nationally- and internationally-known trainers, which have included Courtney King-Dye, Michael Page, Tom Noone and Stephen Bradley, and Suzanne Handler, Lisa Pierson and Mikki Kuchta, who are regular instructors at the farm.
