Hi everyone,
The holiday season is upon us, the decorations are up, and we wanted to fill you in on what's going on this week at the barn.
1) Stephen Bradley will be teaching a showjumping clinic on Tuesday, November 29 and Wednesday, November 30. If you want to participate, call the barn to check if there are any spots left. This may also mean that there is restricted ring use on those days, but there should be at least one ring available to use.
2) Party! Our barn Christmas party is this

Hi everyone,
Apologies for the lack of news over the winter. Everyone is down in Aiken and having a great time (except me - I'm in England, which is why I never get any of the news).
Hopefully in April I will have time to make an Aiken update megapost where I can fill everyone in on the ups and downs of the fabulous Aiken life (hopefully with the help of someone who was actually there - lucky buggers!). Until then, I'd like to take a moment to call out the extraordinary achievements of

We had a small group head up to Lakeville, Connecticut this past weekend to compete at Town Hill Farm. This was, as always, such a fun event and we love everything Sharyn and the team puts on there. The courses were definitely impressive (there was a cabin-mound-cabin combination on Novice) but everyone had fantastic rides. Thanks to Hurricane Earl, the weather was cool, clear, sunny, and breezy, and all the horses came off cross country ready to go back out and do it again. Here are the

Here is the final installment of Mia's report of her experience at Bromont. Once again, congratulations to Mikki and Mia for such a successful weekend! One of the things I love about Eventing is that I'm always learning. And doing my first CCI 2* was no exception…...
The part after cross country and before
the last jog is always nerve wracking. Even if cross country rode
beautifully and your horse seems perfect - you can’t judge right away.
So Vicki and I brought

The second installment of Mia's Bromont write-up has arrived! Once again, big thanks to Mia for providing such an entertaining and educational glimpse into the life of an upper-level event rider (in her signature purple). The story's not over yet-- keep an eye out for Part Three.
"Getting ready for an FEI event takes a
lot of planning. You basically start your season by deciding which one
you are aiming for, and then plan backwards from there. You need to
work so that your horse's

Mia was kind enough to write up a lovely report of her experience at the Bromont CCI**, which is really fun reading for those of us who haven't quite reached the upper levels yet (and even those who have!). Hopefully we'll get a Part Two sometime soon, but until then catch some cool shots of her cross country ride here! "Bromont is a really beautiful site. It's set at the
base of a ski area, so just a beautiful mountain back drop and lots of little
lakes. They also have a

Congratulations again to Mikki and Mia for having such a great weekend at Bromont! The final results saw Mikki in 10th on Balmoral Tim Tram (Fiji) in the CCI***, and Mia in 16th in the CCI** on Irish Envy (Rowan). Both had fantastic, clean cross country rounds and placed very well in extremely competitive, world-class divisions. Below: Mikki and Fiji looking stylish in the CCI*** jog before show jumping on Sunday.

Congratulations to RiverHorse trainer Mikki Kuchta and boarder Mia Petersen for fantastic results so far at Bromont Horse Trials in Canada! Mia is in 17th place in the ** on her own Irish Envy after cross country, and Mikki is 7th in the *** in a field of 25! Congratulations so far and good luck to both of them- how exciting! Mikki and Fiji were 6th after dressage on a 53.
Here they are showing fantastic form on a clear cross country round!

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel the clinic we were planning with Jimmy Wofford in May. Maybe next time! Good luck to everyone competing this weekend, and especially to those brave souls riding at Rolex!

This weekend we had a few team members down at Poplar Place Farm in Georgia, and they came away with some great results! Click here to see an article from the USEA on the competition. In the Advanced, RiverHorse trainer Mikki Kuchta was third on Balmoral Tim Tram, after leading going into the show jumping! Mikki and Fiji (Balmoral Tim Tram) in the AdvancedIn the CIC**, Mikki Kuchta again placed well on Calle, coming in ninth in a very competitive field. But Mia Petersen stole the show with an

We are very excited and grateful to Carroll Paulhac who is planning a clinic with Olympian and legendary eventing trainer Jimmy Wofford! If you don't already know this man by reputation, please see his biography and prepare to be amazed. We already know from experience that he is an incredible horseman, a talented clinician, and a very, very funny man. The flier follows below with all the information.
